InstaSpeedathon 2022 will be an Online speedrunning marathon and will be broadcast on the InstaSpeedathon Twitch Channel. Due to ongoing uncertainty surrounding Covid restrictions, we will now be hosting the event Online and will only be accepting Online runs.
You MUST join the Discord server prior to submissions closing. We recommend you join the server prior to submitting so you don't forget. The link to the Discord server is https://discord.gg/Xp2XVDF
For onsite submissions, it is recommended that you arrive at the venue on the day of your run or sooner to have time to prepare. Runners are responsible for making their own way to the venue and InstaSpeedathon will not be able to reimburse any travel costs for the marathon. It is also the runner's responsibility to ensure they have the right to enter the UK if they are travelling from abroad. Entry to the venue will be free of charge for all runners and couchers.
For online submissions, a private RTMP service will be set up which you will be given details of prior to your run. Once cuts have been made, streaming requirements will be provided to runners in the Discord server. As a bare minimum, a bitrate of at least 1500kbps will be required, though we would prefer you stream at a bitrate of 2500-3000kbps. If you cannot stream at a bitrate of at least 1500kbps, we may not be able to accept your run, but this will depend on many different factors.
You may have up to 3 couchers with you during your run. Races/co-op runs may have up to 2 runners with 1 coucher per runner.
InstaSpeedathon 2022 will be raising money for Everyone Can.
