RRLAT7 is the 7th yearly Really Really Long a Thon, a marathon aimed at long runs, obscure runs and 100 percent runs.
This year The event is scheduled for december 1st to 15th, but on the oengus schedule you will be able to put availibility beyond this, if the first 15 days are filled easily we will add runs where possible beyond that.
As always this will be on the Really Really Long a Thon Channel.
One of our co-owners was diagnosed November 2021 with Fibromyalgia, with 2% of the adult population in the US (roughly 4 million people) are affected with this disorder.
The other Owner was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and due to a health scare in August 2022 now has multiple damaged organs resulting in long term Chronic issues
To Support these conditions RRLAT will be supporting The Open Medicine Foundation again.
The Open Medicine Foundation is a US based foundation (with international branches in Canada, and Australia) that focuses on research and finding ways to improve the diagnosis of chronic complex diseases and disorders such as: Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME / CFS), PTLDS / chronic / persistent Lyme disease, Long COVID, and Fibromyalgia.
With research headed by a lead researcher in ME/CFS at Stanford University with doctors from Caltech, Harvard, and other prestigious universities around the world The Open Medicine Foundation was founded by a lone mother who's daughter was stricken with ME/CFS to try and fund-raise and facilitate large-scale research in search of diagnostic tools, treatments, and ultimately prevention for ME / CFS and related chronic complex diseases.
Please note that there is a small chance of a charity swap depending on administrative decisions.
